  Shrubs Woody plants at maturity shorter than 15 feet; often with multiple upright stems.  
       
  Vines Herbaceous or woody plants with relatively weak stems, that need to be supported by other types of plants or various objects, such as fences or walls.  
 
  Ferns, and

Non-woody, non-flowering, vascular plants that reproduce by spores. These do not produce seeds.

Species
Non-woody, flowering, seed-producing plants, with leaves of various widths and shapes, including very narrow.  (Grasses, sedges and rushes are included in this large grouping.)
